Been some days now, have not been on the computer.

Went to Las Palmas(La cicier) on wednesday and found out that the waves where not too big but they where formed pretty well! Sun was out and the weather was really good, and alot of surfers at the beach. I went to the mojo surfshop and when i came in, i found my board right away that i wanted to hire. It was a 9’0 noserider and i knew that this was the board for the day.

Went out with my laesh t shirts(a clothing company started by my skateboard buddies) on, and boardshort. MAN was it good? yeah it was great, have not been surfing in boardshorts and t shirt since bali 2011. Got a couple of headhigh waves and long rides. I had so much fun! i surfed for 3 hours straight and it was time to go in. Super happy with the day and with the longboard. We went for some shopping(i didnt shop anything, but my girlfriend did) and after that we went back to taurito. A gooood day!

Now many days later we are home again, the ice has started to melt and it looks like the season will start in a couple of weeks.

Went to Gran Canaria a couple of days ago. Gran Canaria is located outside Africa on the atlantic side. Its my first time here on the island. Gonna go and search for some waves now, so far its been pretty flat and onshore winds on the best spots on the island. I will go to arguineguin now and see how it looks, its pretty close to where we live. And it looks like there might be some waves rolling in there today. Not big but could be superfun!

 

Pulju is a nice indoor skatepark located about 160km north from here! I have followed the peoples progress there for the past months, and they are ripping! its crazy how good and easy they make it look!

Just watched a new video from there today and i like to see how much fun they have when skateboarding,
and how good everything is built, the transitions between the funboxes, quarters, boxes and the banks etc.

It feels like there is something good going on there right now, and it will equal in many good skateboarders for the future!

snowboarding
Snowboarding  is fun. Unfortunately i haven’t been shredding that much this winter.

Yesterday(monday) we went to a small slope nearby. Its the 3rd time i’m on the snowboard this winter and its always alot of fun! Went out with my girlfriend Lotta,  Sami Vaskivuo and Ludde Nylund. a good company! Sami Aumanen was about to join us also, but he could not make it this time!

Good fun, alot of sun and some slush in the slopes! It was a great day, had some fun on this small corner that we found, so we had to get some shoots of it. nothing spectacular, just old school slushing and carving, the way its supposed to be! photo by Lotta.

Been using the MIRKA sander for a while, like it alot! easy and light to work with!

I am using the 150mm.

Been thinking about making  a new shapingstand for myself for a while, couple of days. and it finally happened!It still need some padding.
and some rounded corners, gonna be fun to work with. it is 90cm high so that is good. and about

116cm long. I am working on the reto board now a couple hours/week.

Living in finland, its always the same problem, waiting for waves! Its not like other places where you get waves
everyday going to different spots. We only have windswells, no groundswell. So we need storms. and that is not to often!

And if a storm comes, its usually in the wrong direction! So by saying this my mainpoint is that its hard to get the reto
board in the water and get some filming done. Like the last video we made, there was no waves, the video came out 5 of may.
And we had no waves before that or after, until sometime in august. no fun.

We will try to make the best of the situation for the upcoming part. And i am sure we have to travel go get waves. But so be it!
We will try to get it done before end of may 2013. There is still ice on the ocean here.

So, stay tuned, there might actually be a new part coming out soon! Alot of waiting, but this is Finland.
